Consumer Brand Activation Manager

Role synopsis

  • To develop & implement specific offers, promotions and communications for the assigned Spaces/brands based on the agreed country strategy, to work closely with Country Activation & Workshop teams and help them to deliver these to customers in the most optimal manner in order to deliver volume, turnover, gross margin and market share targets and maximize business returns.
  • To support the development and implementation of innovative digital marketing programs for consumer, channel & business partners across the Spaces.
  • To track progress and adapt plans under the guidance and supervision of the Country Activation Manager.

Key accountabilities

  • Innovate locally and adapt global and regional digital retention and loyalty programs/apps that both support the brand and channel strategies and assist the Sales team in deployment.
  • Plan and manage the annual Digital Offer & Activation ASP budget
  • Accountable for the delivery of Volume, Turnover, Gross Margin and Market Share targets in Power Brands in the assigned Spaces/Brands/markets.
  • Contributes to the country strategy development for brands in line with global strategies to meet volume, turnover and gross margin targets.
  • Develops and implements the brand Media and Activation (including promotion) plans in country across all channels to finalize activation plans leveraging global programs.
  • Accountable for the world class execution of consumer marketing offers (Products, promotions and Communication) in market.
  • Manage country brands performance and the yearly marketing spends (ASP).
  • Pricing Management for brand Variants based on pricing tools.
  • Engagement and buy-in from the Workshop Activation Managers & Trade Activation Manager to ensure appropriate inputs.
  • Sales team engagement and buy-in and agency management for world class implementation.
  • Responsible for assumptions and V&Os management for the brands in the LBM process.
  • Develop and implement a systematic approach through the embedding of relevant OMS elements and ensuring appropriate risk reviews are undertaken appropriately.
  • Fulfill agreed specific Product Quality & Compliance accountabilities which apply to the role of Consumer Brand Activation Manager, as part of the Auto Marketing role card.

Essential Education

  • University degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • MBA or equivalent post graduate degree desirable .

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Substantial experience in Marketing
  • Experience in B2B and B2C marketing activation
  • Experience in disciplined marketing campaign execution
  • Experience of working with agencies across multiple media channels and countries
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization
  • Lubricants experience desirable but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

BP holds 65% investment of the joint-venture and undertakes the operation ships of this joint-venture until now.

BP then acquired Castrol business in Viet Nam in 2007. Company name then become Castrol BP Petco, specializes in production and distribution of the 2 leading lubricant brands Castrol, and BP. Majority of our products are for domestic sales, while only 1% are for export. Castrol BP Petco blending plant located at Nha Be, HCMC since 1997 with a designed capacity of more than 50.000 tons/ year. The Plant is certified as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Castrol BP Petco Ltd has experienced the speedy development and started to play an important role in the growth of the Asia & Pacific OU as well as in the Lubricant SPU. Castrol BP Petco today consists of 237 full time employees working across functions including Automotive lubricant, Global Supply Chain, Corporate & Functions, Global Business Services, and Marine. There are also more than 100 contractors working in Nha Be plant and our 2 offices in Ho Chi Minh City, and Ha Noi.
