Sourcing Analyst (Tactical Procurement)

Role synopsis

This role will involve Contract maintenance activities that underpin the Indirect Procurement function. Management and delivery of high volume, quick turnaround transactional activity. This work includes; PO Amendment, Statements of Work, Agreement Amendments for low risk and $ value documentation.

The role includes a strategic understanding of the local business objectives and desired outcomes engaging internal customers understanding options and risks associated with Supply Chain activities.

Key accountabilities

  • Identify and evaluate Sourcing opportunities
  • Event administration including invite to bid, training and supporting vendors
  • Screening suppliers and selection factors
  • Contract pay terms, price and T & C negotiations
  • Draft amendments and change request utilizing standard template
  • Compliance to Legal, Financial and HSSE standards
  • Manage administrative approval process, including Buyers, Suppliers and approvers
  • P2P Transactional co-ordination support
  • Provide courteous, accurate and timely stakeholder responses.
  • Meet or exceed PPI’s as defined by Management.
  • Understand systems and processes to manage day to day activities
  • Timely and accurate update of the Case Management systems
  • Provide administrative support and standard or customized contract templates
  • Review existing agreements for compliance
  • Document drafting including Release Orders, Non Commercial Contracts
  • Develop customer and supplier relationship management skills including regular communication tactics.
  • Handling complex End to End Sourcing requests with minimal supervision.
  • Effectively represent IP to the business and suppliers
  • Be willing to learn the business and to be taught the practices of our PCSM Academy
  • Take ownership and accountability for delivery.
  • Take Ownership and Manage both transactional and strategic activities.

Essential Education

Bachelor Degree in any discipline or related field

Essential experience and job requirements

  • 3-4 years in a Procurement Supply Chain Management (PSCM) environment
  • Able to work in ANZ and/or UK and/or US shift
  • Excellent verbal and written plain English skills
  • An ability to read, understand and act with given information (reading comprehension skills)
  • An ability to comprehend Contracts.
  • Ability to work at a detailed level on repeatable activities
  • Influencing and problem solving skills
  • An ability to operate methodically including process adherence
  • Customer orientation with confidence and ability to follow up on pending work from business partners
  • Proficient desktop computing experience – an ability to learn PSCM applications including ARIBA, SAP and Salesforce
  • Proficiency in Office software
  • Manage volume activities to deliver against timelines
  • An ability to operate methodically including process adherence, research and analysis of systems and information
  • Customer orientation with confidence and ability to follow up on pending work from business partners
